ABOUT HLB INTERNATIONAL

HLB International is a fast growing, dynamic network of independent professional accounting firms and business advisers. Formed in 1969, HLBI ranks in the top 12 international accounting networks, servicing clients through its member firms in over 100 countries.

HLBI focuses on quality and personal service. Quality is the key driving force, reinforced by regular quality assurance reviews of all member firms, an up-to-date ISA compliance international audit manual and membership of external professional bodies focused on quality issues.

Personal service is emphasised in HLB’s Global Care approach to client business. HLB’s perspective is strengthened by an international corporate identity, projecting a consistent and distinctive image worldwide, necessary for attracting multi-national business.

HLBI member firms are well established locally with most firms ranked among the top twelve nationally. Close contact is maintained between members through international referral engagements, regular meetings, bulletins and news flashes from the HLB Executive Office. In addition the GCS, HLB’s global intranet, provides a wide range of data including online training and webinars via the HLB Academy.

In earlier years, the initials ‘HLB’ were taken from the names of three former member firms Hodgson, Landau and Brands. However with the passage of time and the expansion of markets, the name changed to HLB International with the initials now representing the mission of ‘Helping Local Business Internationally’.

Since January 2008 HLB International is a member of the Forum of Firms, an association of international accounting networks.
